On the morning of February 12, Shandong Heavy Industry Group solemnly convened the Second Session of its First Employees’ Congress. Employee representatives from across the Group, entrusted by the entire workforce, diligently fulfilled their responsibilities, actively put forward suggestions, and jointly deliberated on the Company’s development. Wang Zhijian, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Ye Jianjun, Deputy Party Secretary, Director, and Chairman of the Labor Union, presided over the meeting.
The conference opened with the solemn national anthem and proceeded in an orderly manner according to the agenda. Following the first plenary session, delegates participated in group discussions. The second plenary session reviewed and approved key reports, including the General Manager’s Work Report of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, the Financial Work Report of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and the Report on The Implementation of Proposals from The First Session of The First Employees’ Congress And The Collection of Proposals for The Second Session.
At the meeting, Wang Zhijian delivered a keynote speech titled “Unite with One Heart, Move Forward with Innovation, and Jointly Create a New Chapter of High-Quality Development for the Group.” The meeting also conveyed the guiding principles of the Fourth Session of the 14th Shandong Provincial People’s Congress, the Fourth Session of the 13th Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, and the symposium on provincial state-owned enterprises.
The meeting noted that in 2025, Shandong Heavy Industry remained committed to implementing the important directives of President Xi Jinping and the decisions and arrangements of the provincial Party committee and government. Anchored in the goal of “taking the lead and shouldering major responsibilities,” the Group pressed ahead with determination and practical efforts, achieving new progress and reaching new levels across all areas of work. The Party’s leadership was further strengthened, high-quality development delivered remarkable results, strategic transformation gained stronger momentum, the entrepreneurial environment continued to improve, and employees’ sense of satisfaction and well-being significantly increased.
The meeting emphasized that through long-term practice and exploration, the Group has forged a distinctive path of high-quality development, underpinned by four key commitments:
♦ Upholding Party leadership as the guiding principle and continuously strengthening its drive to excel
♦ Adhering to innovation-driven development and accelerating new engines for transformation
♦ Deepening reform to continuously unleash endogenous growth momentum
♦ Embracing a people-centered philosophy to build strong cohesion and collective strength
The meeting outlined that the Group has established its “15th Five-Year” strategic plan, accelerating transformation toward green development, globalization, digitalization and intelligentization, and ecosystem integration, with the goal of building a world-class, technology-leading, green, high-end equipment multinational group. For 2026, the Group will aim for higher targets and resolutely accomplish key tasks, focusing on four priorities:
♦ Maintaining strategic focus on core businesses and embarking on a new journey toward becoming a world-class enterprise
♦ Fostering new quality productive forces and building a second growth curve for high-quality development
♦ Expanding global presence and enhancing the influence of the Shandong Heavy Industry brand portfolio
♦ Strengthening unity and jointly building a “Happy SDHi” community for employees
The congress concluded successfully with the singing of The Internationale. Delegates expressed their commitment to translating the development blueprint into concrete actions, working diligently in their respective roles to contribute to the Group’s high-quality development, ensure a strong start to the “15th Five-Year” period, and accelerate the building of a world-class high-end equipment multinational group.
