Shandong Heavy Industry Group Leadership Visits Production Sites to Inspect Work Resumption and Extend Greetings to Frontline Employees

From February 21 to 23, Wang Zhijian, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, visited Weichai Group and Sinotruk to inspect work resumption, production operations, and safety management during the Spring Festival period. He also extended his regards and New Year wishes to frontline employees. He emphasized the need to stay focused on the goal of “taking the lead and shouldering major responsibilities,” and to drive production, ensure delivery, and improve quality and efficiency with strong commitment and solid execution—striving to achieve a strong first-quarter start and advance high-quality development in 2026.

On February 21 (the fifth day of the Lunar New Year), Wang Zhijian first visited Weichai’s high-end heavy-duty engine intelligent manufacturing plant, where he gained detailed insights into order scheduling, process quality control, and lean management practices. He held cordial exchanges with skilled technicians and frontline workers, expressing appreciation for their dedication during the holiday period in ensuring order fulfillment. He encouraged employees to maintain their passion for excellence, carry forward the craftsmanship spirit, and deliver high-quality products to customers efficiently. He also highlighted the importance of leveraging the plant’s inclusion in the national pilot program for leading intelligent factories to build a globally benchmarked engine manufacturing facility based on digital and lean production models.

Wang then visited the project site of Weichai Heavy Machinery’s high-end power and energy equipment manufacturing base, as well as its foundry and large-bore engine plant. With global demand for power supply in data centers surging rapidly, Weichai’s power generation products are experiencing strong order growth and robust future demand. He emphasized that Weichai should seize the opportunity, accelerate project construction for high-end large-bore engines, and expand its power and energy business as a new strategic growth segment to meet global market demand.

On February 23, Wang Zhijian visited Sinotruk Jinan Commercial Vehicle Manufacturing Company, where he reviewed global order status, new energy production line upgrades, and supply chain and logistics support. He also inspected newly developed heavy-duty truck models on site. He noted that Sinotruk should further increase investment in intelligent manufacturing, build world-class competitiveness in product technology, quality, cost, and service, and secure a leading position in the transition toward new energy commercial vehicles while strengthening its brand reputation amid rapid international market expansion. During peak production periods, he stressed the importance of firmly ensuring production safety and providing strong support and care for employees to consolidate the foundation for high-quality development.

During the Spring Festival period, other Group leaders also visited affiliated enterprises to conduct inspections and extend their greetings.
